Simon, why not use copper tubing to lower the resistance instead of the brass tube? Brass is not exactly an efficient conduit... just wondering.

Brass is actually pretty crap for conductivity.

Might as well wire in a set of deans

for any adapters like that I use 8ga OFC power cable.

Copper will oxidate, and that will cause resistance, it will be worse than brass very soon.

It's an external oxidation only (Patina), if you dip it in catchup and wipe it, it'll go away... that tech is good for any green oxidation... comes off very easily.

Interesting lines of thought here on the 2P connectors.
The whole setup will be fine on a single pack as 1P
I have chosen to try 2P for a bit more run time but if the ESC is not keen then I will happily run 1P and have the other pack as ballast.

On that note I am a little anxious about the weight of this hull and all the power in there. I will give it a run next week ( I hope ) and see how it goes.

This one is to go fast by eye and look nice on the water.

Matt, the Deans are an option but not yet.

You're right, and I know it's patina, still it means resistance, and I wouldn't like cleaning my contacts all the time. I like the ketchup idea tough. Never heard of it before.
There are numerous cheap gold plated contacts on the net, with various shapes and sizes. You choose.

Wow it's a condiment and a metal cleaner. Reminds me of a Saturday night live skit "It's A Floor Wax and a Desert Topping"

with the OFC copper I haven't had any visual oxidation yet as I leave the insulation on and heatshrink everything

Simon, I was joking about the deans, deans are fail.

                        .
if there is water and air inside the shrink wrap there will be oxidation, but you will not see it because it's inside the wrap. Inside the original insulation you should be fine as
                        it is air tight.

I am ready to run this Cat tomorrow if the weather is right.
Anything under 2"chop and she will get wet, and go.

Here is what I have ready to rock.
