    Wow, fancy
I like the canard design where the little wings are in front.
Or did you mount the motor wrong ?
3rd pic.. is the ruddery thing meant to have a lean .. does that help in corners ?

ps.. rain squalls and wind 50mph+ here atm.. no fun for anything outdoors.

    Doc meet the Bixler...

I flew it for the first time this morning. Easy to control and a real floater with the motor off. A pity there was drizzling rain as I had 3 batteries to use but not wanting to lose another plane I put it back in the car after a 10 minute flight. It came back dry inside but my transmitter had a few drops on it so it was better to run home and put my Turnigy Towel to good use. With a 1400 mm wingspan it fits in the back of the Falcon with the wings attached. All you have to do at the field it connect the battery and switch the transmitter on and Bobs your Aunty. I used a 1500 mAh 3s lipo but will order some 2200 mAh ones for longer flights if needed.

3rd pic.. is the ruddery thing meant to have a lean .. does that help in corners ? That is a little trick we use in Tasmania. To square things up we eye them up against the electricity poles. I guess they forgot to take the level to work the day they put them in the ground

Sorry Paddy, I know you're trying your best.
ok, it sure looks a winner. !
Let me know if it floats, then I may get excited.

        Re rain on Tx
Use to run nitro boats 'in the good old days' with plastic bag over the Tx so rain wouldnt upset the electrickery inside.
Poke a hole through the bag with something small and sharp ( careful now ) and extend the antennery thing upwards.

Good thinking 99. To be serious for half a mo, that motor sucks rain through it so is that going to be a problem?

It's hard from the outside looking in to understand the terror of waking up elsewhere to a blink before.
The realization that an hour or day has passed you by without alcohol or humour.
Bits mended, rearranged or missing ....the sensation of nothingness overwhelms...
Someone holds your hand from so far away, mumbled words of encouragement drowned by silence.

Get a grip man. You live near the wine capitol of the Southern Hemisphere and there is not enough wine? Douggie call rehab...

On the subject of Douggie I have been watching a Canadian TV series called Trailer Park Boys.

Nothing like Jurassic Park. I think it is best described as "life inbetween prison terms". It is a mockumentary on the lives of some of the inhabitants of the trailer park. In Launceston it is best described as life in Ravenswood, a suburb of Launceston where drug deal murders are a way of life.
I will email you the dl link as it would be frowned on by our North American neighbours if it was placed here I guess.

They are just jealous because they are not Scotsmen Douggie. They cant wear skirts and they don't have a Loch Ness Monster like you. I have a theory about that monster. The appearance of that monster always coincides with you swimming in the Loch. Could it be the very monster that your skirt conceals? We are on to you Douggie.
