Ozzie some of the Yanks should be called WANKS, apparently I do not know what I am talking about. I mean I can see their point. Having only S&B approx 500 props for guys all over the world, scratch built 1/2 a dozen , another 1/2 a dozen kits for myself and others. In total I have had 5 hydro's, 4 F1 tunnel's, 5 mono's and 4 riggers and that is just the FE ones. They have all gone well but it is only the last 12-18 mths that my set knowledge has included some very handy tricks.
As you can see I am not nearly experienced enough to give advice and I should feel privileged that my presence is tolerated by the DF and apparition cat $hit owners on this forum. I think out side the box and do not copy the other guy and tell it how it is.

I know exactly who andy and ozzie are taking shots at but I like to get andy going.

The way I wrote the script Douggie was that Andy was supposed to fly in at that point and slap me about the face a few times and I would go down for the count. After regaining my senses I would get to my feet and apologize to Andy and in the good old Aussie tradition we would have a beer together and tell dirty jokes, swap wives and do other male bonding things.
You have to remember I am a child of the 60's and my brain was altered by that experience. Did I ever tell you about the time I was kidnapped by aliens who inserted probes into my.....

andy has 10x the knowledge i do and they wont listen.
while i am boat less i have put a few of my own boats together and gotten good runners out of them,they were budget powered systems and i didnt copy cat others setups like the yanks do.so i spent my time learning how to setup my boats not just dropping big motors in to offset a lack of setup skills.
yet the wanks on here listen to guys who have ready to run boats from hobby king and no clue on setup.
not sure if thats funny or very very sad

Very sad indeed, and the speed etc. claims are rubbish...but the morons listen to these twits and they burn up their equipment and leave the hobby. The SV 27 XL motor thread is a classic of this nonsense

Sorry for all those I have insulted, I have nothing against getting as much HP into any given boat as possible. With out good boat set up the difference between 3 and 4 hp can only be measured as a few MPH if the set up is wrong. That is why the guys with good set up nearly always beat the guys throwing cash at HP with not a real idea of how it changes what the hull needs to run well, The very fast guys are the people who have the HP and the KNOWLEDGE of HOW to USE it. With just a few degree and a few percent of weight bias you can turn a average runner into a world class boat IMO.
Paddy is a prime example, he has a rigger that is very fast but will never be as fast as the hull is capable of until some BASIC structural changes are made so the set up can be right. We have discussed this at length and will soon make these changes. I will bet London to a Brick he see's another 10-15 mph with the same power plant and prop. Or I hope so otherwise I will look like more of a Dick than I already do!
