ozzie I purchased this plane from Andy's twin cousin in Hong Kong (Mr Li Po). It comes with a wing and will fly if you add the wing. A very clever new invention and could only come from Andy's family. You can also drive in on the road and use is as a remote control car if you take the sponsons off and add the wheels supplied with the kit. Damn smart people Andy's family.

My Hydras have a few names too but they are not allowed on OSE.
My Eagle Tree logger can not measure the amps my boats draw either.
If I can get my son off his lazy a$$ and get him to start building an esc that will allow 500 amps to pass through it I will be a happy man. I wish I had his brains and my common sense. Before you comment about my common sense Andy the answer is "get stuffed"

I have the Turnigy 200 amp monster esc and it looks similar but has different caps and heat sink, it is a great esc.

Also it does not require water cooling!!! due to the very large heat sink.

no it doesnt need water cooling because your tugs only pull 5 amps

Douggie I was debating with myself about buying one of those or the Turnigy 180. I got the Turnigy 180. Andy said the 180 will not do the job that my Hydra 240's have done. How would you rate the Turnigy Monster 200 against the Hydra 240?

ozzie he might only be using 5 amps with the Tug but he likes to have a bit of a safety margin

Yes mine is too Douggie. I am hoping that might keep it from going up in flames. I run WOT for about 3 seconds and then turn the boat around and run WOT for another 3 seconds. The boat then sits on the bank for 3 or 4 minutes before the next run. If it works I will be very happy.

if your just doing short runs then letting them sit paddy, maybe a high amp esc with just a fan maybe better,as the fan will still cool when stopped. i ran just fans on some 200a himodel
esc,s for awhile no water cooling, didnt seem to be much in it over water cooling but there was less heat soak and the esc cooled much quicker when stopped.
i also have tried pumping water threw the system while stopped, this drops temps really fast as well.
