Andy,
I took the DF 33 clone out for a spin this evening. The boat has more weight now and as you know the rudder is closer to the center than before. The lipo has been moved to the left a little also. All these things have improved the handling a lot but aging of the battery combined with the extra weight have caused the boat to lose 5 kph. 111 kph as compared to 116 kph in a light but unstable boat.
M8 we have hit 70 mph several times with this boat. You know I have a new yellow hull sitting in the corner. I have been thinking why don't we use what we have learned with this boat to build an even faster boat (is 80 mph out of the question). We know they need extra weight and some of this could be added as CF cloth to strengthen the hull. We know that going 2p would be a big advantage and also add some weight. We need to decide on what motor and esc would do the job. We know we should have speed controllers up to 480 amp in the next few months. There is also a great 36 inch Aussie hull that I have seen some video of and it could be a DF killer by the look of early development. Have a think about these things and I will talk to you on the phone about these things next time we talk. I will send you the link to the 36 inch Aussie mono video on an email. He is developing a nice hydro too.

Andy,
You were moaning like a big girl about the St Kilda Rescue Boat never having rescued anything yet. This morning I gave it the first test at just that. It does need some wires coming down from the noodle to stop it mounting the other boat but that will come next.
