Andy, I took the DF 33 clone out this morning and compared 2 batteries.

    1. Zippy Flightmax 4s, 5000 mAh, 40C

    2. Thunder Power 4s, 5000 mAh, 45C

They were tested for speed only and on exactly the same setup so the results should be reasonably correct. Yes I used a gps and I have heard all the stories about how inaccurate they are but I do not give a rats a$$. In one ear and out the other. The fact is when that is all you have got then that is all you have got. Anyway the results are below....

    1. 4s Zippy Flightmax 40C, Neu 1515 1.5y, Hydra 240, Andym M645 = 95.8 kph or 59.53 mph

    2. 4s Thunder Power 45C, Neu 1515 1.5y, Hydra 240, Andym M645 = 102 kph or 63.38 mph

Yes the Thunder Power is another 6.2 kph faster but it is also 3 times the price. For a bit of rather fast fun the Zippy Flightmax is a great battery for the price. If I was competition racing or doing SAW events I would go for the Thunder Power or similar battery.

Mate that little trick with the weight to one side worked a treat. Thanks for the tip.

Glad you got rid of the torque roll mate, not surprised at the speed difference I wonder how the Turnigy 4s 5000mah 40c packs with a retail of $60.90 for members would compare ?

I might just have to try them next time.

5s Thunder Power in the DF 33 = 75+ mph ??? Just thinking out loud

Looks like that silly old Poof from the island of the dead has had a STROKE, although a brushed motor would be fitting as he was just a weee lad when they were invented !!

Andy that is the first motor and esc that was in my Xzess 2. It has sat in my parts box for many a moon now. I threw a few volts through it this morning and it goes like a new one. That is how gentle I treat all my equipment. I guess my DF 33 will still be doing somersaults in another 10 years time simply because of the kid glove approach I take to my driving....

                    Andy,
I took the DF 33 out again just before dusk tonight and tested a 4s G3 Hyperion 35C, 5,550 mAh battery that had just 3 runs on it. I have copied and pasted the results from above so we have a comparison of 3 different types of 4s battery.

                    1. 4s Zippy Flightmax 40C, Neu 1515 1.5y, Hydra 240, Andym M645 = 95.8 kph or 59.53 mph

                    2. 4s Thunder Power 45C, Neu 1515 1.5y, Hydra 240, Andym M645 = 102 kph or 63.38 mph

                    3. 4s G3 Hyperion 35C, Neu 1515 1.5y, Hydra 240, Andym M645 = 90.2 kph or 56.05 mph

You can see the Thunder Power is best by far but I am surprised the G3 is so far behind even the Zippy. IMO the G3 is a girls battery. Good for a vibrator and that is all

I agree Paddy and have been trying to tell the seppo peanuts this for some time!! I gave it to you because I was sick of *!***!***!***!**ty batteries. All the septic tanks swear by them, I think it is more a mindless over matter thing, they would have to admit they are overpriced crap and that will not happen !!
Can you post pics of the Brazilian and the Vibrator together ?

Pictures will come after I convert the vibrator to 6s2p on a Neu 1515 1.5y. Esc will be a Hydra 240. G3 lipos naturally. Everything will be water cooled from a self contained water tank and pumped around the device to provide a warm feeling. Madam should be pleased.
