Andy, I took the DF 33 clone out this morning and compared 2 batteries.
1. Zippy Flightmax 4s, 5000 mAh, 40C
2. Thunder Power 4s, 5000 mAh, 45C
They were tested for speed only and on exactly the same setup so the results should be reasonably correct. Yes I used a gps and I have heard all the stories about how inaccurate they are but I do not give a rats a$$. In one ear and out the other. The fact is when that is all you have got then that is all you have got. Anyway the results are below....
1. 4s Zippy Flightmax 40C, Neu 1515 1.5y, Hydra 240, Andym M645 = 95.8 kph or 59.53 mph
2. 4s Thunder Power 45C, Neu 1515 1.5y, Hydra 240, Andym M645 = 102 kph or 63.38 mph
Yes the Thunder Power is another 6.2 kph faster but it is also 3 times the price. For a bit of rather fast fun the Zippy Flightmax is a great battery for the price. If I was competition racing or doing SAW events I would go for the Thunder Power or similar battery.
Mate that little trick with the weight to one side worked a treat. Thanks for the tip.
