Andy,
Mr Krabs had a run this evening. Just ran it on the damaged M545 and it done 112 kph. I hope the new amdym props show up tomorrow as I am eager to try your M645 specials and there is that 47mm prop you sent some time ago and has not been used. It would be nice to see some new records before I go back to work. The good thing is both boats are performing at their best and the DF 33 now travels in a straight line. Those things have to be a good start.
I bet Simon is building a balsa sheep
You bet he is, with a Latex rear end to boot. He recons these will be easier to catch and still give that sheep feel. I DOUBT IT we all know the best sheep is an ewe with it's head over a cliff!!!!

Balsa is cr@p for making sheep, I have tried and it was not a success. 12mm marine ply is far better if you feel the need to make a fake sheep............a guy down the road told me.
I prefer the real deal and still have the fan belt tucked in the side of my gumboot.
Paddy, even though I am am now a real non-mono guy I am very impressed that you have 70 in the old numbers on that hull. Well done to Tasmania's finest.
Now where are me gummies ? I need a roo..........
See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood
okay i havent gps,d it with the 30c 1p setup but with the 20c 2p it was knocking on 50, i am sure if i gps,d it now it would be in the low 50s, not bad for an oval boat running a $70 motor and $55 esc
but if you want to talk speed check out the pick off my 1/8 serpent
converted to brushless on 6s
if you have seen these run with nitro there fast but with brushless they are insane
hopefully over christmas will get a chance to put a few motors on the dyno with it and play with timing etc
these hit 70 mph in acouple of seconds and are still accelerating
nope no rudder andy its one of those car thingys
hey at least it doesnt have wings and get stuck in farmers trees
Ahh ozzie that happened to some old goat I know.
Mr Krabs battery is being solar charged as I type. By this time tomorrow Mr Krabs will be the fastest solar powered boat in Tasmania.
From your comment on the phone I know you love this picture Andy so I will put it up again. I may even find a way to include it one every thread on OSE for you

Yesterday with the M545 = 112 kph
Today with the X447/3 = 106 kph.
Mate that can not be a 1521 1D motor. From all the things I was told about the 1521 1d motor when I was building this boat I expected it to laugh at the X447/3 but as you can see it is struggling. That was a secondhand motor I purchased out of Florida. My DF 33 with the 1515 1.5y motor is as fast as Mr Krabs. The DF is heavier, draws more water and uses a smaller motor and is a clone that has not been blueprinted. To make matters worse the DF was built by me. The DF has nothing in its favour but it goes like a shower of sheets

Paddy I am sure you are the envy of all the folks on that side of the equator! Not even I have a jacket as nice as that one and the hat really sets it off!
Paddy, if you learnt how to paint your DF/33 it would be much faster and do not put any Red Ocean Fishermen stickers on it, as it will be doomed for failure

Douggie,
You have just got me thinking. I once seen a picture of a motor that was painted by a guy in Canada. If I can track this guy down maybe he can spray my motor and DF, both out of the same can. I think Chuck can point me in the right direction. I can remember that several people commented on his painting skills. Personally I have no skill at all and that is why I paint nothing.
