My favorite latest smear attempt is the Khalidi thing. Oops.. turns out McCain is on the Board of a group that has DIRECTLY funded this fellow and his studies to the tune of in excess of $500,000. Sure he is an American citizen, was born here and speaks fluent English as his first language, but LOOK at his name. He MUST be a bad guy. It is actually kind of sad that this is what the GOP has sunken to doing.

Oh well. Just over 3 days to go now!!

And I just threw away the issue tonight, the one with both Senators' pictures on front (it takes a while to get here because everything is still in the process of going to our old house first). They discuss the same issues Darrin just mentioned, and from the liberal side NOT AT ALL denying the veracity of it.

Like I said, I think Bush is the worst President we will likely ever see and as dumb as my dogs but I have never once thought he did not love his country. It saddens me that this is what it has come down to for you guys. YOU can choose to believe what you want, or what ABC, CBS, MSNBC, or CNN tell you to believe, which apparently includes what I posted above, but that doesn't make it any less true... We have audio, video, quotes, stump-speaches, writings, support for issues, voting records, support for other political figures, and on and on and on that shows that it is true... it's ALL true...

Sure he "Loves America"... that's why his ENTIRE CAMPAIGN is based around the premise of FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGING IT!

You know... when I first heard about this part of the saga, I decided to really do some research to find out more about what exactly was "funded" by "McCain"... Have you done this??

First, "McCain" did no "DIRECTLY fund" "this fellow"... He was on a committee... The "International Republican Institute", that funded the "Center for Palestine Research and Studies", which is NOT a radical organization, but is instead a group that:

Hardly sitting down and having dinner with the guy, or joking around with him about Israel, or having him baby-sit your kids... It doesn't sound, in fact, like it's any different than a committee issuing grants for research to a University, or Hospital, or any other large group...

Try to make all the connections you want, there simply isn't any evidence to prove in ANY WAY that McCain would even CONSIDER hanging out with this guy or supporting his Radical Ideologies...

But there is PLENTY of evidence, including Obama's OWN WORDs, both spoken and in writing, that he DID, and still DOES, align himself with these people...


And don't even try to defend this on the basis of "how dare you question Obama's patriatism"... He and his wife have both shown that America is a disappointment to them, and that they feel the need to FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE IT... When you figure out what that really means... Based on how he feels about the Constitution, what Supreme Court Justices should do, etc., then you'll be as concerned as the rest of us...

I actually heard a quote from a lady the other day that appeared to be sincere, not some contrived, comical garbage. She genuinely believed that in, exchange for her vote, she would be rescued from poverty and the government was going to make her mortgage payment for her.

Not too surprising given the message the opponent is sending.
