If people are broke because of gas price, they're doing something dramatically wrong financially. People don't want to accept that living beyond their means by way of credit is a terrible idea at best. Manage your spending habits properly, and gas should be the least of you're problems.
If you can't afford gas, you certainly shouldn't be playing with R/C boats.
Easy to say, Hard to do, but 100% painfully true. I ripped up my credit cards years ago and have three part-time jobs, one quite demeaning but the proceeds of which go right into a savings account so I can afford to travel to races - just did 800 miles to AZ & back at @ $4.50/gal but the money was there from cleaning apartment buildings all year.

Revolution!! That is what it will take. There are BS republicans and Dems. Term limits created fast agendas and greed. It starts in our own states and who we put in there. Follow your own senators and congressman closely and let them know how you feel. Do you ever write you own? Big companies lobby and so can you.

Let just walk out! Not go to work for day. A coordinated effort. Hit them where it hurts...in the money belt.

This thread has gone a bit of topic, therefore I will state that every individual is responsible for their financual position and if you can not afford the petrol/gas, mortgage, life style you are in ...smell the coffee. I am retired and loving it and yes the the price of all items for daily life concern me. Also in Vancouver we are paying $1.42 a litre for the lowest grade of fuel and as the Canadiian dollar is on par with the USA that equates to $5.68 a gallon
