                    It's funny that since my point of view differs, I am considered stupid. I have no beef with anyone personally because of their political opinion. It's a two party system, right. Don't insult my intelligence, it just makes you look ignorant.
                    From my point of view, seems others are drinking the kook-aid. Don't think for a second that I like big government. I just prefer to point the blame where deserved.

                      Well Douggie will enter the fray and there is no need to send your kids and family outside, as I got out on the good side of my bed today!

                      As far as true elecrtic vehicles that are being built today, forget it, as they are way too expensive with limited mileage......what do I drive...it is 2010 VW Jetta 2.0L Turbo boosted up to 250 HP...Okay mileage and has to run on high octane fuel.....but it is fun to drive and it is the first vehicle I bought with an automatic transmission, the dual clutch version is a wonder to behold. Also you Yanks could not buy the same vehicle as it was a Canadian version.

                        I for one, really don't get why the price of gas keeps going up when we have more oil today than we have had in the past???
                        I have some mineral rights in Eastern Colorado, and take notes of the oil spots in Colorado, and it's a lot!!
                        the driling activity is crazy out in Eastern Colorado, and its more every week around here!
                        when gas prices go up so do goods, and that hits everyone.. those with jobs and those without

                          Where does it say "we the democrats" or "we the republicans". No matter what distorted ideology is in control, it is "We the People" who suffer the consequences. We need to stop letting politicians divide us with trivialities and start focusing on what the real issues are; Out of control spending and waste. A select few have run up a out of control debt for the last twelve years while "We the People" were bickering amongst ourselves. Do you think they care what party you affiliate yourself with when it comes to saddling "We the People" with the debt and obligation to pay it? I align myself with neither party as both are equally responsible for the current economy.

                            Don't get me started. We can't have it both ways! High gas prices have little to do with the "Administration", unless you admit the 'economic recovery' is a direct result of this administrations' efforts. It's the same old thing: greed and capitalism. Oil speculators buy shares of oil when the price is low and sell high when the economy recovers. We are in recovery mode, what with new unemployment claims dropping. Expect it. What really irks me is oil recovery by fracturing. It is just wrong. It pollutes water aqueducts, and causing earthquakes and cannot be reversed. They can drill horizontally into another claim. We need another pipeline - not. I agree we do need to phase out the burning of fossil fuels, and use it primarily for lubrication and plastics manufacture. High gas prices force us to rethink mileage and economy and to start looking for the fuel of the future because the future is now. It is a hard bite to chew and harder to swallow. Maybe we should do what M4a1usr eluded to: remove oil speculation from the private sector altogether. Whoops, that sounds Liberal. What?, have the government control oil prices?? Blasphemy.

                            The two biggest problems with electric vehicles is batteries (our stockpile of lithium is finite and China is getting wise to their own needs) and creature comfort - air conditioning compressors use a crapload of energy. You don't think about efficient heating when the engine produces heat as a byproduct. It gets pricey when running an efficient motor that produces torque first, heat last.

                            All I know is if the folks on the right can't come up with a better candidate than Rick, Mit or Newt, then Obama will be our president for another term. Maybe we can get along better in congress the next four years. Yup. God bless America.

                                it's the dollar as well, oil is based on the dollar, if it's weak it takes more dollars. You can't be 16 trillion in debt and have a strong dollar. Obama has spent more than any president in history. Obama is a moron, face it. If you voted for him your stupid. Obama was raised Islam and he is destroying the country. Just sit back and watch him destroy it.
