Hey doug whats your take on moving the rudders leading edge with the drive dog. I've seen them ran both ways and both seems to run okay.
Also is the 2 1/2" - 2 5/8" below the keel sound about rigth for the rudder lenth? If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

Well the motor mount came in so i started cutting out my rails and deck. Got everything broke down and will start to seal with epoxy. If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

Well I got her all finished up and I took her out today. First runs were okay. I need to get a bigger prop. Motor and esc didn't even break 100* speeds were down also. Was running it with a m445. Didn't get to video hopefully next outing.
Here are some finished pics.If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

Well I took her out yesterday and made some small adjustments till my props come in. I added 2* of negative on the stinger and moved the COG to 28%. Ran faster than first runs and handled well. Second run I up'd the timming and boy did she really wake up. Not sure on what most run them at but 11.25* she came alive! Brought her in to check temps (motor 105*, esc 115* caps 125*) and noticed the epoxy lifting up from the stringers. I took them out and will re-install them with 3M 5200. It's like the epoxy never "bite" to the hullIf all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

did you prep the hull and clean with acetone? I have had this happen too, you should be ok regluing - now you have all that surface area on the epoxy. be sure to clean the epoxy side as well with acetone.
waiting for some vid, sounds like a fun ride. any pics of her wet?"Look good doin' it"

The hull was prepped good. Sanded and wiped with acetone. The epoxy came clean out. I will be using the 5200 this time around. Hopefully she will be good to go this weekend. Waiting on some props and some batteries too.If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

Is your hull a polyester resin base? Mine is, and aeromarine suggested using a polyester resin instead of epoxy because it is much more compatible. ( I already used the 30 min pace epoxy, so we'll see..) They said The pace finishing resin would be more compatible. I'll use that on mine for future installs.... Hopefully mine holds, I used a ton of epoxy... Good luck.Comment

Well I got some more run time in today. I think its close on the setup. The one thing that I've noticed is this thing will not turn to the left. I know your fighting the prop etc. But i've never had a mono that corners that wide to the left. All in all she handles the rough pretty good especially in the turns. Hopefully this weekend is nice so we can get some video. If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

How are you liking that 180A Turnigy? Im thinking of getting one soon... like in 5 minutes.Comment

I have very limited time on it. Don't want to toot my own horn.Throttle is silky smooth and with the hand held programer it really easy. I run a 580l 7t with a m445 on 4s2p. Temps are under 115. The motor usually comes in at -100 but today she got pretty hot. Hopefully I caught it in time.Last edited by BakedMopar; 05-22-2010, 04:10 PM.If all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed!Comment

Hmm.. been longer than 5 minutes, but I think Im going to have to splurge soon.
And I know the answer to this, "Mr non GPS", but what are you thinking, mid 40s? Im considering a 580 for my Genesis. Your only turning mid 20k's on 4S right.. or am I thinking this wrong?Comment
