I would have got one but I have a fortune invested in a fe-30 that is right at 50 now...still not as fast as a whip but its all I got so far for spec hydro...
I want the new tunnel...slap a os lower and 2030 and a dinogy 4s and u should have a nice tunnel....

btw just put a neu 1515 2200kv motor in it and run hard

      First impression

I must say that I am very pleased with this boat.
Fiberglass, very solid and strong boat.
Plenty of room inside. Well installed battery tray and servo tray.
Servo tray has fit cuts just to drop the standard servo in and tie with straps.
Hardware is very impressive, nicely done and strong...
Rudder has water pick up holes on both sides, like that a lot.
Cooling line has nice aluminum passage installed so the cooling line fits perfectly without being squeezed.
Very well done motor mount and well installed motor mount trays.
Canopy is strong and solid. Perfect fit, easy to put the tape on top, nice and square.
Paint is first class with very well done coating.
I was replacing the turn fin to UL-1 because I share Dobys opinion on the fact that in racing condition
I would like to have that extra grip, but it works with smaller stock fin just well.
Flex cable has square end on the prop shaft end. Prop shaft stays inside of the prop strut so it is 2 piece set up
and I love it. That way there is no force on the motor, motor bearings and motor mount, wicked idea.
The only disadvantage of it is lubricating that requires the strut to be removed to lubricate.
On the site note, prop strut is very easy to remove and reinstall.
IMO, this boat is money well spent. It has not seen the water yet but if the weather is ok tomorrow will see
how it performs being powered by UL-1 motor and ESC.
Stock prop is fairly small so I am sure it is safe for the first time testing....
      The prop is TFL 438.
      Will post findings.....
      Cheers
      Robert

Looks nice. You could also just forget the tail ring and undo the motor mount bolts instead of going from the strut to lubricate... just sayin' That way once you have your strut where you want it you don't have to reset it it every time.

Been thinking about running a setup like this for years. Thrust on the strut rather than on the flex/motor. Let us know how this is working. Always thought it would be more efficient since the flex isn't forced to the sidewall by the thrust and the motor bearings might not generate as much heat either?!

I've got about 10 runs on mine so far and I'm starting to be a believer.

I'm going to have put a setup in one of these too. I think I have just the motor for it.
