Good choice of a Yamaha decal for the colors it came with

Here is a 1990 Yammy RZ350. The red white and blue one was what threw me and made me a a paraplegic...

I rode a RZ500 for a couple seasons, that was one mean machine!

Glad to say that I've hit the water with my Popeye too.
Unfortunately I can't upload any more photos or videos to the computer. My kids have stuffed something up with some programming.
Runs great with the TFL 4082 2200kv motor that I ordered with it, & an M545 prop.

At the pond today I watched John & Rob run their hydros (Doby & Lipo Power) and I must say I'm pretty impressed. Seems to defy some logic but, who cares if they run really nice!

                Nice work TFL Hobbies.

You will find that setup to be quite happy in your hydro 785 boats.

I think I'm going to rob the motor out of my Wildthing and throw it at one of these. See what happens.

We never had a chance to GPS them yet but will next time at the pond.
Both of ours are on UL-1 ESC and motors on 4S with dasboata M445 props.
It appears this set up is dead on pick for fair speed, very low temps, very stable and controllable run.
Will update speeds when we have them....

Just to add Lipo Power is using an OLD UL-1 motor. I dare you to try that prop in that hull on the 1/6th mile course with a UL-1 motor off the shelf from todays stock.

I think in and earlier post, I said I'm getting in the very high 40's (around 48ish) if I remember correctly...

Need a few different props to try...but winters coming so it might be next season till I break the 50's.

Both Robert and I ran our Popeyes at a semi-organized event this weekend....ran against another club member with a UL-1.

Speeds were on par but the UL-1 couldn't handle the race/wind chop and flipped. The Popeyes were quite happy in the race slop.

To be fair though, the UL-1 is a smaller boat.
