Hello dana,
Ref. Advanced R/C Boat Modeling by John Finch P. 8: http://www.amazon.com/Advanced-R-C-B.../dp/0911295216
John Finch suggest that a r/c boat need weight trimming to make it fast yet controllable. As his suggestions, too light a boat is an disadvantage. Add weight help solve your problem.
JetChopper30 was designed with mind to give little lift on the stern, transom. Inner strakes are shorter. Spray rail at the transom is half width. Ride pad is narrow width. Do not know the lift right now. Suggest modeler to add weight to make it sufficiently weighted and torque balanced.
Wonderful paint work, can paint such a fine line. Use furniture wax, Johnson Pledge, to coat the boat bottom, can reduce drag.Busy with offset moulding. Will make RED hull soon. Joint will be invisible.
Wish you a win.

Leo, here's the "secret sauce" I use on all my boat bottoms.
Went to test with heat race prop; lake was blown out but tested in crazy-rough water. Boat showed great balance & should do extremely well in racewater.
