I would wait till you get the hull to see what you can fit in the hull. It would suck to get 6s 5000 mah packs to find they WILL NOT SQUEEZE IN. It may be tight. I can't get them in my Fantasm. May be able to stack two 3s packs in though.
Depending on which ESC it should be good to 7s only.

And yes the higher C rating is the better way to go.
PS: I can't wait to see this hull

Thanks for the info... I'll be sure to post lots of pics!
In the pics the guy is providing there seems to be plenty of space for 3s packs: http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/5/3...66255035_o.jpg
I wonder if theres any space for more packs in front of the boat before the hatch opening or even between the servo and tubes...

I'm about to order a traxxas GPS module for the trax receiver and bluetooth enabled transmitter on the cheap from ebay ... hopefully it'll be a reliable and accurate way of getting MPH readings once my shipment gets here.
Do you use any cheap GPS's for mph readings?

I use my Eagle Tree. But ordered a Voltron awhile back. It is not here yet.
