I have tried this. Best I could think of was to make one out of foam and epoxy. I could make one and throw it in the box I am already sending to Ben. Send me good side shot, front view and top view with ruler or other dimensions. It may take me a couple days."Look good doin' it"

He aquired a CF micro hydro that suffered a massive impact with a solid object. I installed a new transom and strengthened the sponson area to accomidate a turn fin. I also installed supports for the deck to make it more solid & a sponson water pickup in the left sponson.

Is the area where you added the deck support on the small side of the motor mount? The side that doesn't contact the top deck? If so I'd love to see pics of what you did. I was contemplating adding some support there also.Catching Air!Comment

there are cf supports throughout the whole deck as I had to split the hull in half (top/bottom)"A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."

John, definitely contact Diego for pictures and more details regarding the work he's doing. Being the owner of two different carbon fiber micro hydros, I will tell you the reinforcements he's doing makes this thing rock solid and it feels bulletproof. I think that if you are going to reinforce, his approach is the best.
Diego, that cat looks sick with that hatch!I forgot to look at it when I picked up the Key West.
BTW, do you still have the El Lobo?

My only concern is apparently the reinforcement he is doing requires splitting the hull in half. If I damaged mine I could see doing that, but not with a new one. Now if anyone has any tips not requiring me to split the boat, my ears are open!
BTW, I have no doubt what he is doing will bullet proof the boat. I just don't think I have the abilities to handle that job.Catching Air!Comment

I don't think I have the abilities either... (shhh Don't tell Meniscus)"A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough."
