What is the problem? Your strut bracket is too large or what.? I will send you a bracket if you need it with no S&H. I may not have understood what you were doing.
I think you wanted the stock strut which I have for that but then I figured you were able to use the bearing strut...which is a great strut with wire.
Yes you can slip a smaller dia stuffing tube up that other one if you want. The wire drive does not need to be in a tight tube. 078 is nice with 5/32 tubing.
If this is the set up you have (pic) then you have more than enough rudder space between that and your prop. All I see is the strut bracket may be a bit wide for the strut but you can probably loosen the strut bracket and move it together for enough for that strut. So, I think you are thinking your prop LE shaft must be at the LE of the rudder...not at all. As long as your rudder is behind the prop you are good to go. As I said, I have the factory strut for that hull. If you want to return the bearing strut then all else will work...wire drive and all and as long as the facotry stuffing tube is there and it is 1/4" then it will hook right up. Might be easier for you anyway as I never know what experience people have when selling to them.. It comes with a bushing and all. That is also not the factory rudder. Looks like a fuller rudder and you need to make sure it is nice and straight down when running or you will have other problems.
