The way I un-threaded the front cover was by a method similar to removing the case-back of a wrist watch, if you've ever seen/done that. I have some phenolic clamps with long flat surfaces by which I clamped onto two metal dowels nearly the exact diameter of the vents on that cover. Insert the dowels into two of the ventilation holes on oposite sides of the shaft (gently so as not to disturb the windings) and you can unscrew it by hand...in other words, don't put the motor in a vise like I've seen on some youtube videos. You might get the same result by simply bolting the Pro Boat motor mount onto the front cover and clamping onto it, but I would fear shearing a bolt or bending the aluminum mount before you overcome the forces of the glue.Last edited by lt130th; 08-24-2014, 01:22 AM.Comment

CA Glue = cyanoacrylate, which is basically "super glue" (the fast setting stuff you squirt out of the tiny bottle rather than the two-part epoxies). And I should add it comes in different varieties depending on what material types you are bonding.
