On the 2 runs I did, neither time was any of the motor over 110 degrees. To tell you the truth, I have no idea what is making the noise. I've ran it twice, one time without the noise, and one time with the noise. It runs the same.

Yes it is, I had bought a piece 16x48. An this is what's left over. I think it's really 17x28 but I'm not sure on that. I know it's at least a 16x24 piece
