Just to throw it out there...

The setups John posted for this boat are very high RPM (higher than most people run). You could very easily run this boat on 6s with 2 of the motors he listed and get pretty good speed, so don't assume you have to have the lipos for HV to run it!

You got it! 1580's on 8s w/442's about 38,100 rpm pulling 171 amp's, 1180's on 12s w/442's about 44,100 rpm pulling 167 amp's and 1400's on 8s w/442's about 35,600 rpm pulling 135 amp's! Not to bad but still a bit higher than the usual! These were numbers maxing out what I could run safely. I had all three set's of motors in this hull all using the FC 200amp ESC's. None of the setup's even came close to maxing out the HV ESC amp rating. There was still a bit more room to go but I didn't want to overpower the setup's and fry anything! Better safe than sorry!
