This is a copy of the shipping doc. It shows the shipping cost of $27.31 no where near $40 stated by the seller.

jmsask didnt even buy this boat off of OSE, he bought it off of RCU. I had it listed for $95 shipped and he offered me $110 shipped to Canada, which I accepted. He then asked about the epoxy repair and whether or not you can tell it had been repaired. I told him yes, you can. He then asked for more pictures in which I posted and sent pictures of the boat from both sides, back, bottom, and front. I then received an email from him saying the "damage" was too extensive, and that he didnt think it was worth $110 shipped and offered me $80. I laughed it off (Seeing I knew it was going to cost me around $40 to ship it) and planned on responding to him next time I was near a computer. Before I ever got a chance to respond, he sent me 3 more messages askign about the boat, one of which was asking why there are holes in the back, which I answered, and another saying that he still wanted to buy the boat anyway for $110 so I went ahead and sold it to him. He was provided pictures of the boat in the EXACT shape it was in when I sent it, and an accurate description as well.

      To jmsask:

I wish you hadnt sanded the boat, I would have been fine with taking it back if you hadn't messed with it.

Also, I received the boat from another OSE member and never ran it of changed anything other than taking out the tupperwear container. When I got it, I was told it had an epoxy repair, and was provided with one side view picture. I got it based on that, and when I received it, it was EXACTLY what I expected it to be. However, it looked nothing like the pictures you just posted when I received it, or when I sent it to you.

Any other members of OSE that have made transactions with me(including the one I got this boat from) are more than welcome to post your feelings here. I have bought and sold $thousands$ on this site and get this from someone I internationally shipped a hull to for $110. Unbeleivable.

        well

both sides sound reasonable however online deals are exactly that...online deals, sometimes they work out sometimes they dont. Here is a situation from me: I bought 2 turnigy batteries from some fool on rcu as well and when i got them they were shorted out to heck and showed no voltage....I had filed a ban order for him on there and contacted him personally because of the negligent shipping which caused the batteries to fry in shipping ie: non insulated leads. He was a goof and I lost the 60 dollars...paypal and rcu were no help at all.I then was bored one day and pulled the cells apart and removed the blown circuit boards and re soldered the batteries then voila they worked but only due to my repair nature.Lesson learned buyer beware. You have no case....maybe just do the best repair job you can and move on sour grapes are no good to dwell on.I now am more leery and more careful of what i buy and how I do the transaction(protect myself first).good luck

I am not trying to say to anyone that you should not buy from the seller I am saying I am unhappy with not receiving information that would have made me aware of the shape it was in and I would have passed on it.

In the pic's provided by the seller the damage and repairs don't show what needs to be seen.

I can put the stickers back in place if you will send a shipping label and refund my money.

I've bought off of keithbradley before and would do so again. Communication with him was good and items were as described. I've read this and It doesn't seem like he is trying to hide anything from you. After all it is a used hull and will require some work, and you knew this going in. He did post pics of the areas that required fixing. You should not have started to work on it if you were that unhappy with it. Maybe you could of split the shipping with him and sent it back.
I'm not taking sides, just calling it how I see it.

I will agree with you about return shipping and I will pay for 1/2 the return shipping. All I have done is peel the stickers off and they can be placed back on.

                    Lesson learned

I Have thought it over and I may not be happy with what I received the deal is done and I can not change it in anyway so I will chalk it up to lesson learned and move on. I only wanted to make a point about informing a buyer all problems or repairs they will need to do is a good thing to do if your selling anything. That way there wont be any problems down the line. I'm not the kind of guy that complains when I know what I'm getting. I have no bad feelings towards the seller but I don't think I will buy again from him. I'm not saying that anyone else should not buy from him I see that others who have purchased from him are happy with what they have received and others should know that I seem to have had bad luck with mine.
I wish I had asked more about it to avoid what happened therefor I have to take it as my mistake not the sellers.
I know the seller was not out to do wrong and will not hold anything against him and no one else should for my mistake.

What I dont understand is after you looked at that pics I sent you and asked about the epoxy repair, you told me the "damage" was too extensive and you didnt think the boat was worth what I was asking. Before I ever replied back you changed your mind and said you wanted it anyway...
I honestly dont know what the boat looks like without stickers, like I said, I didnt do anything to the boat, including stickers, paint, ect. All I did was throw it in the bathtub to check for leaks (there were none, the hull was ready for water) and set the amount of weight in it I was going to run to see how it sat. But what I do know is that if someone tells me they repaired a boat with epoxy, I wouldnt expect it to look absolutely perfect. The high and low spots in the gelcoat on the front of the boat were pretty good in my opinion, considering it was done with epoxy which will more than likely shrink after the repair is done. To ad to that, I have a brand new UL-1 here, which is almost $400 shipped, and it has a flaw in the gelcoat that I'm sure I could make look pretty bad with a super close up picture and a bright flash if I wanted...It doesnt bother me though because I dont expect a show piece to come out of China for $400. I think maybe your expectations of the boat were initially off, but you obviously didnt think it was a perfect boat, or you wouldnt have sent me an email saying "the damage was too extensive" before you bought it.

Buyers remorse happens, and different people concern themselves with different things. My plans for the boat (before I decided to go bigger), were not to sand all the gelcoat and paint down and make it perfect. My plans were to throw a bunch of power in it and go 50-60mph and be happy. You seem to be looking for something more as a showpiece, in which I would agree that you should not have bought this boat.

As far as having no ill feelings, I try not to carry any and I dont think your just being malicious. I think you are new to RC boating, maybe new to RCs in general, and you had second thoughts after getting the boat. I also think it has a lot to do with the fact that you bought ANOTHER boat that you like better. However, your post here has no purpose other than to give me a bad name, which I dont appreciate. I dont believe you have the grounds to do so being I didnt mis-represent the boat to you in any way. The pictures I took and sent to you were EXACTLY as the boat was days before I sent it to you.

                      One other thing...

You clain you only took the stickers off the boat, and you havent sanded it or altered it. Anyone can see the boat in your pictures doesnt even look like the same boat in my pictures. Either you sanded it, or you have purposely take pictures to make the boat look worse than it really is.

I am not going to continue replying and keep bumping a thread that is what I beleive to be a misrepresentation of my character. If you had NOT ALTERED teh boat, I would have taken it back. However, I would not have paid shipping either way, as I provided ample pictures and information for you to make an informed purchase.

I will not start this all over again but it is the boat I got from you it would be hard for me to copy the pant job done to it and you are right I did damage your name by posting this and I was wrong for doing it. I was upset when you did not reply to my email when I received the boat. I have not done anything other than remove the stickers I did put a motor and ESC and prop on it and try it out and it fly's (84mph GPS'd)with a 1900kv motor and a 125amp ESC and two 2S 5000ma LiPo's and look forward to spring after I repair it and paint it. I admit what I did was wrong and never should have aired my thoughts in this form I should have waited for you to reply to my email. I did buy another boat and it is mint and it was less that what I paid for yours but I need two one for me and one for my grandson.
