Be sure to use an appropriate hobby grade epoxy, not JB weld.

Scuff the fiberglass up before gluing, and clean with denatured alcohol. The fiberglass appears to have a shiny finish to it which means the fiberglass was not prepped correctly the first time.

If you can't hold the boat by the motor and shake it around, the glue joint is not strong enough.

Been down this road before with a boat manufacturer...you should ALWAYS remove the motor and ESC and pack SEPARATELY or you are just asking for trouble!

That sucks ! I did ship it w/ insurance. try to make a claim. That really stinks. never thought to pack everything seperate. I ran that boat w/that set up and never had it come loose and hold the boat by the motor and never popped off. Well I won't be using jb weld anymore
If you think you're fast. You're not!!!

JB Weld is okay if you prep the existing epoxy/fiberglass first.

A bonding epoxy would be best though.

even then I still think JB WELD SUCKS, for this purpose anyway. I tried it again recently after refusing to use it after previous problems, and it failed......again.

I have been using MAS FLAG epoxy for bonding good strong stuff! I was out of this when I used the JB Weld.

                  I got mine from here.

It is, but I have spent more on smaller amounts with 30 min epoxies and stuff like that, this is cheaper in the long run, especially since I have built/rebuilt 7 boats, and working on 3 more in the last 10 months.
