If seller indeed knew, and failed to disclose that it was a parts boat and/or that there were issues with the radio or esc, then that of course would be dishonest of him, but probably not fraudulent or legally actionable.
If seller had NO such knowledge, and any defects were not obvious, then seller is not at fault in any way.
BTW I have no idea what happened here, and don't know anything about this seller.Comment

tony, hy its Paul from the races, if you are getting 28mph something is wrong. are you running on a 3s ? it is suppose to run on 4s. and mine runs sometimes on 5s for real fun. Just to let you know you should keep that setup even if not for this boat. that makes a perfect LSO setup for racing, thats what i used and won many races, unfortunately my lso boat sunk the last day of the warmups.
lets get together and run sometime this week 602-620-4078Comment

Jeez. I have a Nue 1521 I will sell used for 2K. Whats wrong with that? Wait till you need to sell something else. Like a HULL for instance that you might want full price for that is undrilled but is still a USED hull. Someone needs a whaaburger and french criesI would hate to see someone resale a scratch and dent item on this site for almost full price..
specialy that this is not ebay nore craigslist add site
OSE is a site for fellow FE Brothers to come ask questions and not be taken, we are here to help each other, like brothers do

I do not know the facts here, but people have said that the seller (a) knowingly bought the boat as parts, from a liquidator, for cheap, (b) then sought to sell it here for an almost new price, describing the boat with the term "new," while (c) failing to disclose the salvage nature of the boat.
Is anyone saying that this is ok? Let the buyer beware? Don't be a crybaby?Comment
