yes this will be an experiment to TRY to get the foam out and see if it permanently stretched the fiberglass and in the end I will still run it no matter the outcome

        it arrived this afternoon

the hull looks absolutley awesome and the bulges are not that bad.....they are four small bumps two on each side that are well far forward enough not to effect handling what so ever....I havnt decided if there even worth trying to fix them

        thanks for the deal V

Is there any solvent that will desolve the foam and not hurt the fiberglass?

Might try to desolve a piece of the foam that you chip off.

              foam

some of that foam will react/disolve when you try to use polyester resin on it. Why don't you mix up a gallon and just pour it in the hull and see what happens......

I have a scrap piece of the spray foam downstairs from my micro cat project from last week. I will try a little bit of MEK on it and see if that does it. I will let you know in a little while.

                Nope

Nothing. MEKP barely touched it, not enough to disolve a hull full. Gas also did not. Now, gas on fire might work..... Video it if you try this!

I split apart a 54" deep vee with expanding foam one time. Where it split the hull, I heated a butter knife on the stove and slid it in the split and the foam would melt away. Maybe heat a steel rod and stick it down into the hull and melt holes into the foam? Then you could start ripping it out.

OOOORRRRRRR Just run it as is and have fun
