What is boost, nos, or fuel pressure? Just trying to learn!

Boost - pressure applied above 14.7 psi atmospheric pressure by either a turbocharger or supercharger.
Turbocharger - A parasitic device for air density usually driven by exhaust gases.
Supercharger - A mechanically or electrically driven device for air density.
NOS - Nitrous Oxide

you got that backwards dom, a supercharger is a parasitic device, it creates parasitic drag on the motor like an a.c.
turbocharger- just uses what would be wasted energy produced by your cars exhaust to create power. much better and smarter ideaComment

Correct. I was tired late last night. But which is better depends on the application. Turbos tend to have better fuel economy while superchargers have a broader power band.Government Moto:
