    Larry,

The boat you have is the Aeromarine Mean Machine. With a full lap mill you likely will not make 4 minutes with 1950kv motors. The 1700kv motors would be a much better choice.

I bought this boat from Bill.( Red Bull on the deck)
The motors that were in it are Tacon 3674 1700Kv -2Y

        TP Power Brushless 3630
These motors are 36mm X (58mm on the OSC site)
1950 KV 4 pole 11D Whined (AMP HOG with lots of grunt)
This is why I would like to stay with the "Y" Whined (lower AMP draw)

1950KV may be a little high for a 4 MIN race with a full mill start.
I have to keep my AMP draw to about 65Amp MAX.

        Larry
Not sure about the amp draw on those TP 3660 1950kv but you might get Hugh to check the ones he has set up in a cat hull. I'm not sure what hull it is, he bought it from Ray about a month or so ago and it runs awsome. They are trying to get this TP 3660 motor approved as a spec motor in NAMBA and IMPBA. Whoops I didn't see Rays post till after I posted....... Ray, What hull is the one you sold Hugh?

I don't think I'll make it. Weather is calling for 9-12 almost due east and I'm hoping to make my 1st "real" turbine flight.
BTW, I took a day off work and went to Florida Jets yesterday to spectate and shoot some video. YouTube playlist is here.

Glad you said that Ron. I need to put that in the van now so I don't forget it in the morning. (required for turbine startups at the field)

                                Chris,

i think what bill was Saying is taht is a good wind direction for the flightpath at the flying field. Eqst winds shouldn,t be a problem at the pond. Bill will likely make that flight before we get to the pond, so i,d like to see that.
