I bought Bills twin Mean Machine

I want to run it in The Michigan Cup race Two different classes, I know that I will need a motor change and probably a prop change for the two classes.

Class (1) "P" Offshore 4 Min race 4S -2P - 5000 Max each (10,000 mA Total)
Class (2) "P" Cat 6 lap oval 4S-2P -5000 Max each (10,000 mA Total)

What are your suggestions for motors and props??????????????

I'm hoping that 4s-2p 5000 Max is max per pack and not the total.

I'd go somewhere in the 1900-2000 kv range Larry. 442's (maybe 445;s) will probably work well in the 6 lap race and maybe even the 4 minute as well. If you run 3674 size cans you'll ne able to reuse the cooling jackets that are there.

4S-2P of 5000,s = 10,000mA total on board is all you are allowed.

For the 4 min. race you will need to have the AMP draw at 65 to70 AMP Max per motor.

Larry you could run a pair of 3660's with some 442's and it will be fast with low enough amp draw to last 4 min and not puff the packs. Hugh had the twin he picked up from Ray running very nicely on a pair of TP motors.

A "Y" whined is less Amp draw then a "D" whined

What about a Leo 3674 1700Kv 2Y whined
Props 438/3 or 440/3 Back cut and DE-tongued.

To get 4 Min. I need about 65 to 70Amp. MAX on each motor
Do you think this would give me 4 Min.?????

Larry, that 3660 1950kv is a TP. I sold ray the two motors that are in that cat of Hugh's

Are we talking about the same hull?
I bought this boat from Bill.( Red Bull on the deck)
The motors that were in it are Tacon 3674 1700Kv -2Y

TP Power Brushless 3630
These motors are 36mm X (58mm on the OSC site)
1950 KV 4 pole 11D Whined (AMP HOG with lots of grunt)
This is why I would like to stay with the "Y" Whined (lower AMP draw)

1950KV may be a little high for a 4 MIN race with a full mill start.
I have to keep my AMP draw to about 65Amp MAX.
