Jim, right now we are right in the middle of trying to put some stuff together for racing at our pond and make it better... The CD format Scott is working on will get us used to working
within a time frame to run. I'm getting a laptop together for timing and scoring. This will help all of us to be better prepared as drivers to race in a series. Those of us that are going to participate, can go to the WCRA races when they get here in Sept. I for one will certainly be glad to shake the dust off, and go racing.
I would like to see US organized enough to be running our own club racing series by this fall. It's alot more fun running my boats instead of looking at them on a table.
LSO and maybe STD for his weekend. Im out for now for the series racing as Im not running any of those classes. Perhaps in the future, but as of now, my fleet is thinning rather than growing. A few recent purchases I had made are going up for sale as well. LSH, possibly a P-mono pursuit, Amsiol twin, DF mini sniper, and very possibly HPR06. The last one depends on how the next few weeks go.
Jim, as for the CD. 20 min or whatever we need is fine. Minor details, we will get it right. The CD tracks will include the time as well as the countdowns, so there would be no need for another cd player. Its all inclusive per "track set" if you will. We just need to discuss the set up format. And yes, this would cause s to run the same order every time. It would help to keep things organized and tidy. Its gong to be fairly simple to create once we work out the set up details. Like I said, we will be able to hit play and for the most part, walk away from it until we are finished. Everything will be on seperate tracks (including each sections breakdown incase we need to or want to skip from pit time to mil count down, similar to what you had me do with our current cd, just a littel more elaborate), so the option to skip a track set or replay for multiple heats of the same class will not be an issue at all.
Thanks Ub2slo. Its mostly nitrol boats but they do run a spec tunnel class right now. Several of the guys who run that series are building electric tunnels right now. Mostly spec but there are a couple of p tunnels and q tunnels being built. Once I have the motor squared away for my real boat, I plan to build a q-tunnel next.
It's the Southeastern Tunnelhull Racing Association Do a search on the International Waters forum for all the info.
