Just a note for the tunnel guys, he's been working on a CF composite leg for the electric outboards and think they may even be in production by now.
He has had that composite leg out for quite a while. I had one a couple years ago. My new tunnel came with the OS leg on it. We will see how well it does.

I just got an email back from Rich. What he has is the transmitter impound stands.

He suggested contacting the old club president, John Pavlusko for other items. If anyone out there happens to know him personally I'll leave that for you, otherwise I'll try calling him later on this evening when I get home and see what we can come up with.

I am racing RC cars again at a new indoor facility in Plant City we have organized racing every Tuesday night for the 1/10th scale formula one class. The entry fee to race is $13.00. Every Sunday they have organized racing for several different classes during the day the cost to enter is $20.00 for the first class and $10.00 for each additional class. I haven't heard anyone complain about the cost to participate. If / when we have organized club racing at our meets our paid club members could race for free and any non members could pay a daily racing fee of say $15.00. If we are just doing fun runs charge the non members $10.00 per day to run.

I agree. Thats why I think we should get Ackerman up to speed so we can host events. Host clubs are able to keep member fees at a minimum by hosting events.

Ackerman supported a national event for the nitro guys so the potential is there.

Re: Guests , I think it would be somewhat uncomfortable to hit up a guest for ten bucks. Mosts guests will likely join in time.

Lets vote on the 12th and move own. Any member who may not make it could vote by proxy.

I have a call in to Ken Haines to discuss these matters. Their club is an excellent model.

Not too much use for impound stands anymore. I think most people have switched to 2.4ghz.

I hear ya on that one Jim. Chances are about the only time we "might" need them would be in doing a large scale event. Then you run into the old die hards like Larry on 75mhz.

Nothing wrong with the old radios. 2.4ghz Just allows old farts like me to be lazy. No need to walk to an impound!

I finally got rid of my AM radios, 6 of them on 27Meg. channels 1 to 6.

After seeing some of the radio problems at the last few meets, I will stick with my 75FM radios.
