I would be able to run p-mono, p-offshore, and p-spec hydro.

      Mike,
Unfortunately I can't make the June race. My doc won't even let me drive for 3 weeks after the surgery on June 1st. Maybe I can snag a ride and come watch!

Here are the schedule of races that I know of right now

        WCRA schedule 1 day races
        June 28 Dover
        August 23 Riverview
        Sept. 20 Dover
        Nov. 29 Riverview

Namba District 3 2 day races
        June 13-14 Riverview
        Sept 12-13 Miami
        Oct 17-18 Dover
        November 14-15 Melbourne

I know they are letting us run Open Electric at the 1 day races, but I have not heard anything about running electrics at the 2 day races.

If anything comes up for the June 13-14, I won't be able to race on the 13, but I can on the 14th.

Jim the race on the 28th is the next race I was refering to since there have not been any electric classes offered at the 2 day races. hopefully there will be soon though.

I think you are right Mike. Seems like I remember hearing something about them switching the dates.

                Jeff,

The Waveblasters use the SV-27 as their Spec Mono class.

                All the best,
                Ray

I was refering to using the spec power, but in other hulls like a 29 delta, mean machine, tita, ect. I have just put an SV set up in my mean machine. Mike is running a similar setup in his titan. I was thinking it would be fun to have that sort of class with much better hulls than the SV.

                    Jeff,

I agree with you. Was just saying the WaveBlasters don't/won't cause they have so many guys with the SV. For our club, I think it is a great idea!

Missed ya at the club race yesterday.

                    All the best,

                    Ray

I totally agree Jeff! I have three different monos that would be great for spec and also a couple of cats. These would be GREAT classes. If we went ahead and did it, maybe the waveblasters could get inspired!

I would suggest any mono, even stepped hulls, from 24" to 32" could qualify. It would be interesting to see all the different boats in the same heat!

I am going to go ahead and set up one of my cats with a SV or UL motor and ESC anyway.

I think the "spec" classes are the way to get new people involved in the hobby without the expense of a NEU motor and Castle, etc. esc and still have fun fast boats!

I am looking forward to running my mean machine soon with the sv motor to see how it runs.

Ray, I would have been there, but I am in Missouri on vacation. We are up here to see the wife's family. Hopefully we can get plenty of people to attend the next WCRA race in Brandon on the 28th.

I would be in for a spec class but i think we should spec it with a xl motor like feago or nimisis I just think the sv or bj motors are a little under powered for a 30" mono were a 8xl or 9 xl will still get you 45mph and stay cool.

Not a bad idea Mike. The Feigao/Nemesis are cheap enough. Maybe Any ESC of your choice?

How many of us are going to attend the next WCRA race in Brandon? I know they are only offering open electric, but I am hoping we can get another good turn out for this upcoming race.

wish I could make it. Back surgery this coming monday will prevent me from being out and about for close to a month.
