        Saturday Run

I will be going to Loch Fembot tomorrow to try out the new ESC in the cat - minus the rubberband on the TX and to see what the UL1 will do as well. Anyone else available to run?

That is a possibility as I have run into the same problem as many others with the UL1, the cooling jacket around the motor, it leaked at 10 psi. I will see if I can solve it tonight. The problem is the lack of surface area for the o-rings to seat properly - the threads run all the way up on the jacket and the end pieces - not to mention the side walls are a bit too thin. If nothing else I will use silicone to seal it. This seems to be an inherent design flaw that needs to be addressed in order for this boat to be called an RTR. All I had to do was squeeze the ends with my fingers and the leaks became much worse.

I'm working on the truck today, all day since I have the help at the in-laws. My wife also has me obligated for a Christmas party/get together with some old friends tonight.

Looks like my day is full

I'd love to go!!! but I have to address life. Don't you hate when that gets in the way!!!!

Well the flag has changed hands. Fastest hydro in Team Fembot is now Egneg's UL-1.
                          Egneg's UL-1 - 44.2 mph. Diegoboy's Viper = 42.x mph. (Egneg's prop = M445 | Diegoboy's Prop = X637)

Second run of the Viper on an X645 caused a blow over on the second lap and a GPS reading of 113.x mph. (run and reading didn't count)
Second run of the UL-1 on a V940/3 caused it to submerge. and a GPS reading of 4.x mph

                          CONGRATULATIONS EGNEG!......... for now

I have to agree that the V940/3 turned it into a submarine. The viper did 42.3 (very close in speed) and with a detongued X640 Diego will more than likely be faster.

Thanks for coming out for the maiden run and the use of the GPS (since mine is at the bottom of said pond).

Thanks - I will be more than happy to supply a prop that will turn the rigger into a submarine also!
