See that's what model boat racing is really like. Guy has an issue. Crap now what? He's not sure what to do. Someone steps in with a solution. It's like that on race days too. I can't speak for every form of model racing but I've seen and experienced this kind of generosity over and over again.

If you've ever even considered racing you need to go for it. The friendships formed will surprise you. Who knows, someones generosity or even just a kind word may well restore your faith in mankind.

from the moment I met Fred and Terry at My first Mi Cup race I knew we would be great friends forever!!!!!!! I've been racing RC for 27 years, cars for the first 20 and I've made some of my best friends in car racing, but there is no comrodarie in car racing like there is in boat racing, car guys are actually happy when you crash or wreck your car, not boat guys, they all jump in to see what you need to fix it. I'm not saying theres no one in boat racing thats like the car guys but they are few and far between. And boat racing is so much about the group and the family and the guys throwing the events are so dedicated!!! You would never see a "kids class" at a car nats much less 5 of them!!!! Thanks guys if it weren't for this Mi crew I don't think I would be into FE as much as I am!!!!!! and yes 1 WEEK!!!!!!!!!

I was not to go testing boats today. Well, I could not because I had lost my TX radio.

Well, I just found it.. actually the GF just found it... in the dirty clothes hamper!!????? WTH!!! She wrapped the TX in a red towel and I said to her earlier have you seen the red towel?? For week I've been looking for the towel since I knew it was out of circulation for a week and thought, where are all the towels at??? Wrapped in the towel, in HER bag of stuff you know, sunscreen, etc... I was nearly in heart attack mode yesterday but, foe some reason God made this happen, maybe if I went out testing today I coulda broke or lost something???

So Mike, thanks but, I might want to buy one off you if you don;t need or want it, be good to have a spare right??! LOL...

The GF and I just had a laughing fit over this. If I didn't love her, I'd kill her... well, after the NAt's...

Thanks to Doby also, see you there. We were planning to maybe leave very early Sunday Morning, not afternoon as I have Mucho testing to do.

The very definition of success for me. Thanks Mike. We need words of encouragement once in a while. Especially when a nats is baring down on us like a freight train. hahaha

On the jumping in thing.......Mike I still have your prop from Pheonix. Thank you. I got a text last night from a guy I've known for maybe 2 months. He asked if I had a particular prop he needed for the nats that he could borrow. He knew if I had it I would loan it to him. I didn't have it but I knew where there was one that wasn't going to get raced so I sent him to that guy. That guy is loaning him the prop. That particular prop was balanced and modified by the current FE Chairman back in 2009. It's been raced a jillion laps since. I know.......it's just a prop...............who cares. It's just an example. That's what boat racing guys are made of. We're one big stupid family with a horrible addiction. We're like codependents.

John, probably best you drop. We have three scales here that are really fast now. Mine is particularly frightening. Hoping to give Mike some healthy competition. Might not be able to beat him but holy crap is the T plus fast. Blew all the windows out of it Saturday.

Ray, isn't that the way it goes? I've had other people come to my house to look for my freak'n prop box. SO stupid.

One week till open water!!!!!

hey terry, scale has gotten frightfully fast in district 1, we've all realized we were actually so underpropped and were only using about 2000mah in a run and all temps were under 100. Mine and dougs and 2 other guys rigs are running 70+ and we are racing at these speeds!!! it is scary especially cause we are running a small course, prob 1/8 mile but we are completeing 6 laps in way under a minute in the 48-52 second range and we all finish within a few boat lengths of each other. Doug's boat is rediculous (yes way faster than mine) and he's figured out how to keep it on the water now!
