Oh I can't tell him that. His giant head will get so big we'll have to prop it up with something. It might actually pop.
It's muscle memory and all. Junior was racing from around the time that he could walk I think. I'm not sure he even has to think about where he is on the course. Creepy to pit for him. Yer like.........ah....yeah.... do more of that there.
I got a text from Junior just this week. Talk'n race stuff. He's still a racing super freak. Hall of fame induction didn't effect his demeanor at all as far as I can tell.Noisy personComment

He's still the best driver I've ever seen. He's on a very short list of guys that I prefer to watch race over actually racing them. There are some racers that make the short hairs on your neck stand up. You know you're watching something special. That 61 second heat he pulled off was madness.
I still remember a P mono heat at the 05 nats that included Twaits, Crowe, Nayman, Ray Fuller and Ed Hughey. THE Ed Hughey. Alan had to set a record to beat those guys. Still makes me smile. Sheeeeeesh.....git a room Terry. Sorry guys, the little things amuse me.Noisy personComment

I'm extremely proud of our Northern Lights MBC members and their families for working their tails off to host another great event for our guests. We ran about 120 heats in fifteen hours of racing which is 8 hts/hr, only a well oiled, cohesive group could do that.
For the third year in a row Team Canada prevailed winning the "Can-Am Cup" with total 9900 points over Team USA's 9288.
Team USA came "locked and loaded" though, ready to do damage:
Our beloved mascot "Barney the Beaver" went missing once again, but this time there was no ransom (in US dollars):
Instead he was found stripped naked and being dragged behind a truck!

Like a good Canadian he apologized for being so careless and was eventually returned, his clothes were later recovered after more apologizing:
Once again our own Randy Rapedius took the Oneida Cup with perfect scores in Cracker Box and LSG Sport Hydro. Todd Fleury also posted perfect scores in P & T Sport Hydro but the number of boats ran broke the tie in Randy's favour.
Again thank you to everyone who came to make our "Can-Am" another huge success and we hope to see you again next year!
Look for a complete write up in the IMPBA September "Roostertail", results are also posted to http://www.rcracingevents.com/cgi-bi...%20Boat%20ClubLast edited by Terry Keeley; 08-08-2016, 07:47 PM.Comment
