Technically its a district race. We're skipping the points championship this year. Don't know exacty where Mike lives, but it's only 3 1/2 from NYC to the race site. It probably wasnt much difference than your trip to Atlanta Ron.

Hope Issac doesnt hurt you guys too bad. Be safe!!

Yep...the UL-1 Motor/ ESC combo can be stripped out later to use in another P-Lim boat...that is the same system we are running

It's a good running boat but just like the Spartan, you risk destroying the hull if you get tangled up or it stuffs. But then you can take the electronics out, buy a JAE FE kit for $100 and build it over the winter. All you'll need is rudder, strut, flex tube and flex cable.

Well I was gonna drive 8-1/2 hours to race in Ohio but that race got cancelled!!! so I'm looking for something w/in a week or 2 of that date, this race is the week after and is a 2 day event and theres a bunch of classes I could run. I look forward to racing guys in other areas. I used to travel all over the country racing carpet and paved oval and then 1/10 and 1/8 off road from 89-2002, i kinda miss that w/ the boat racing. With cars you can pretty much find a National level trophy race almost every weekend all over the country, between all the different scales 1/18, 1/12, 1/10, 1/8, 1/5, and the types onroad (carpet or asphalt) offroad nitro electric!!!! etc.......

I raced the UL-1 for a season and took 2nd in club points for the year at ODMBA. I used a M445, strut set at 1", and added 4 oz to the front end. I am not sure if it is still necessary but the turn fin had to be reinforced to handle the stress. I miss racing and hope that our club finds water to use.

Congratz Mike on the new position!
