IMPBA D12 Fall Race - Queenstown, Maryland Sept 21-23, 2012

The Delmarva Model Boaters will be hosting the fourth District 12 race of the season the weekend of September 21-23 in Queenstown on Marylands eastern shore. Sign up will be on www.rcracingevents.com . We have classes for just about everyone (Gas, Nitro and FE's). Come up..or down and enjoy the cool weather and great racing. Open water usually starts around noon on Friday and we race all day Saturday and half the day on Sunday. We try to wrap up around lunch time on Sunday so people have plenty of time to get home and unpack. We would love to see some of the guys from Tidewater come up as well as our NAMBA1 comrades from up north.

I'm also expecting a few new FE racers to join us. You know who you are.......

If anyone has any questions, ask away.

Just wanted to add to Chilli's thread:

Camper cabins might still be available at Martinak State Park (MD)...around $50 a night...

Should be great weather... not hot and not too cool out..

I think there are three cabins still available. They sleep four with a queen and bunks. They have electric and AC/Heat. We've used them a couple times and have been pretty happy with the set up. Short walk to the showers. Beds aren't the most comfortable but the cabin is clean. After we get back from racing we light up the grill, throw some dogs and burgers on and charge packs. The camp ground is about 20 minutes from the race site.

I'm pretty sure primitive camping is also allowed at the race site.

Joe has seasons tickets to the Redskins and they are playing that weekend. He entertains clients so it's hard for him to get out of it. Maybe we can talk him into coming up for the day on Saturday.

I expect Pete and HydroMike to be racing!!

Oh yeah! RG3 will turn this team around and join the likes of other franchise Redskin first rounders... like Desmond Howard and Heath Shuler.......

I guess we'll get first peak tonignt. I just hope RG3 wont be running for his life all season.

am planning on running P mono and open mono

have to test new motors in the open mono tho 1st.

Mike, you bringing the gen. along?

no nitro this time at all

before I forget, Mike, better hook up a 6 volt receiver pack to the programming box (the plugclosest to the 4 buttons)
and see if you get the wording across the screen. mine went to all squares...................

                          I'll bring the generator.

My programming box checks out fine. Says "Welcome, Fightercat Racing".

I'll give it back to you. I may just have you program the spare controller I purchased.

www.rcracingevents.com is up now. There are a few minor issues with race sign up. Mike posted the heats as being 8 laps. Obviously that isn't going to work for us. I asked him to make the 8 lap heat for LS27 and LSG classes only. Also, B/P-Lim Hydro isnt listed and B/P-Lim Tunnel is listed as B/P Tunnel. Hopefully that will all be corrected shortly.

Carl. I finished converting the 47 amp power supply. It took less time than soldering bullets to a speed controller. You'll be able to charge those 6S packs in no time.
