    MISS Veles 29 v3

I installed the soon to be released Pro Boat Veles 29 motor and prop on my MG 29 v3 today and I couldn't resist the urge to go try her out, Even though it was pretty windy at the lake and the water wasn't the greatest for a first run and speed test, but I gave it a go anyways. I didn't ever really get it stretched out because I didn't want to have a rescue but it happened anyways. LOL...More test to come soon!

That motor is available as a spare part already? I was thinking about running a set in my Zelos.

Yes. I got it from AMAIN. It has a lot more balls than the 3910 motor does. It appears to be made by another manufacturer other than the old 2000kv also because it has holes in the bottom plate vs the old one being solid. The part number is DYN3831.

Yeah... buggers had it for $69.99 then just recently bumped it to $79.99. All good.

I'll have to check the strut height since field adjustments were made. The temps were actually down a little from my last test with the stock Pro Boat Veles prop. I didn't have my temp gun ready immediately but I got it about 1 min after I stopped the video and the ESC was 119 and the motor was 130 with the ABC, and they were 135 motor and 119 ESC with the Pro Boat 1716. I am well pleased with these temps versus the temps with the old 3660 2000kv motor.

I think heat soak is a consideration on the temp readings. I'm getting about those readings after coming in, but my data logger shows about 10 degrees cooler while running. I'm getting the biggest heat soak off the motor, which makes sense, it's the biggest mass. Temps start to go up quick once water cooling shuts down...

Set up like it is now with this set up I'm sure it would do at least 60mph, but on the original setup I got like 54mph with weaker batteries than the ones I tried this time and the boat was too wet on my first few runs on the factory prop. The factory prop is basically a SS 1715.
