Hmmm. Here's what the 2028 with the same kv sounds like. What prop are you using? I'm using a 6515 cut down to 3.6in and am able to complete a race using 6600mah with 25%+ left after mill, 6 laps and a cool down lap. We're running in the upper 60's heat racing. If I'm not mistaken, Jesse J and Charles have the same motors in this video. I heard Jesse's got one of my old boats upwards of 75 now with the same setup so next season's gonna be fun!

Ya mines a 50" hull with 3"overhang. I was working with Jesse for a minute try to get mine setup as close to his. I've got a 2028 I was going to test it in that boat. Is 3.6"the total pitch?

You guys are getting me excited, that is great racing with the larger hulls. I have a 2028 sitting here and Andy is going to need a project soon. Special R-42 perhaps or are you finding the Thunderbolts a bit better Oscar ?

According to the watt ratings these motors are about 10hp.. in the R-42 it'll fly but don't get in back wash..lol.. it'll REALLY FLY..the large 50" hull plows threw and I never have to back off

That's a big prop. Have you checked amps yet?

I was running a octura 460 then Jesse said he was using that voodoo prop witch is a 4" pitch in didn't know he cut it down. I test it with a octura 665 witch is 4" pitch in that video. Ran ok. Temp was good.

Is there such a thing? I've bought/sold/traded so many props over the last couple years it's not funny. The f41 is my biggest cat, so I wouldn't know what to suggest.
