    geico NEU 2200kv castle x642/m545

testing geico , run x642 2sx2s ,, at 3:40 i fitted m545 .running 2x4s packs for a total of 10,000mah as the T180 esc was having the old lipo cut off failer with the 2s x 2s 45c 5000mah packs ,it was fine with x642 .but as soon as a fitted the m545 it would not run , i lowered the cut off value to 2.8volts but still same ,so i used 2x4s 5000mah 45c in para ,and it run fine , i could of just turned lipo cutoff off , is this a fault with these t180s or is it normal ? anyone know

The lvc cutting in to early is a common problem with these esc, a lot run with no lvc but you must time your runs so as not to go to low on capacity.

thanks martin though this was the case ., yes most guys in the club run with it off .,if will not run on 2s x 2s i have no choice but to turn in off . as 4s x 4s is over club rules battery weight limit

nobody ever considers that maybe... the esc is actually doing it's job. Keeping your cells and itself from being damaged. There is a reason it works with 2p. More available power.

No kiddin, I have 3 boats with t180 and NONE of them has the lvc off. NONE. They all perform just fine. I can run them on 1p or 2p....

Lets put this into prospective . this esc has never had a problem with 2 x 2s 5000mah 45c zippy lipos running a leopard 2200kv 4074 with x642 . now with the castles 1515 2200kv it run fine with lipo cut off set at 3.4v .but as soon as i fitted the m545 ,it instantly would not run half a lap i even dropped it to 2.8v ,still didnt help i have another new t180 here i might try but i suspect it will do the same ,to much amp draw for the cheap 2s zippys ,i see most the guys running high end lipos such as Hyperion brand ,but they all run with lipo cut off switched off . they know how many laps they can do ,and always bring there boats in with 15% charge left , club rules in Au only allow 650 gram battery limit .as much as i would like to run 2x4s packs i simply am not allowed . at this stage i have 3 choices ,
1 turn it off ,. 2 buy better battery's . 3 prop it back to m445.. i need to get 6-7 laps out of it , on a bigger lake then in this video thats a testing pond we use , see my other videos for the big course lake ,
              cheers guys thanks !
