What is the max kv i can run on 6s using the turnigy 180 esc with the leopard motors. There is leopard 1550kv which I know would work, but also a 2200kv. Is the 2200kv too high? I just don't want to go up to 8s with the 1250kv. Think I might sell it and buy another 4082 leopard.

The stock Genesis was faster on 4s with a 40mm prop with the stock 2074kv purple China special motor. I knew when I ran it that I need to prop up with that low KV but didn't expect it to be that slow. And the T180 esc still switched to low volt cutoff after only two passes.
Low cut off is from voltage drop. Probably pulling more than the batteries can deliver. (typically) 35c might not be enough if they are under 5000 mah.

Calculate your RPM for about 40k Theory and you'll rip in that hull on a 445 prop. 1250 on 6s is too low for a cat, you'd need a really big prop. But then you'll be breaking the driveline from the added torque twist. Stick with higher RPM smaller props and you'll have a blast with it.

        Hope this helps.

HI, I am interested in how you mount the out-runner motor and how you use water cooling for this T600-hobbyking motor ?
Also, i have a scorpion out-runner that is 1400Kv for my Trex 600 heli- would this motor be ok for the same application as you ?
          Answer greatly appreciated.
