The Genesis is running very well, What motor & kv is in it & prop + what esc & lipos are you using. Thanks Martin.

We need DOBY to answer that one. I know it was on Turnigy 6S and HK outrunner. Speedo was CC Hydra 240 Amp...
Very stable when we did full oval runs on chop water. That boat is great but so is the Stiletto!!!

        It was one of these;

        http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=11980

        Running Qty2 3S Turnigy 5800 30C's in series.

GPS'd at 59.7 Mph last week!

        Temps:

        Motor around 145
ESC around 120 (Caps around 190 so I will probably add some more to be safe)
        Batts at 95.

All after about 3 minutes of runtime.

Thanks Doby, What prop were you using. I kinda thought that might be the outrunner you might have been using. I do like outrunners & that motor is fantastic value for money for $30. I know they draw a lot of amps, Do you think a T 180 esc would work with this motor or would it be limited to 4s & not 5-6s. Thanks Martin.

If I read the prop correctly, its a X647. As for the T180....it might do it, but you would certainly need to add some extra caps prior.

              Very nice, Doby!
I run the same motor in my Rico mono on a T-180 and 6s1p with a x447 and no issues. No added caps on that one either.
It really is a great motor.

Good to know that the T180 can take 6S....what are your cap temps after a run? I was pleasently surprised with the motor...to bad they don't make a 4S version.

Yep, ran that exact setup in an apparition.

Even went up to an x450 without issue. That motor/ESC combination is solid.

Hello, I have just ordererd T600 Motor and T-180 esc. What mount can be used? What adapter can be used to connect 6mm Motor to 4mm flex? I have found only a 5mm to 4mm adapter, perhaps it can be drilled for 6mm?

Use the 2 bolt motor mount and drill the 3mm slots to 4mm. OSE carries them as well as others.

There is a 6mm - 4mm collet that I make. Shops closed till the 19th though.

Help me out because my Genesis is slow as a turd... I put in a Leopard 4082 1250kv and have an X445 prop, running on two 3s 35c lipos in series. The stock Genesis was faster on 4s with a 40mm prop with the stock 2074kv purple China special motor. I knew when I ran it that I need to prop up with that low KV but didn't expect it to be that slow. And the T180 esc still switched to low volt cutoff after only two passes.

Might want to try an X450.

Sounds like a bad battery? Check the voltage under load.
