    Video at last........39" Mono, 1717

Thought i'd throw this up here as well as on my build thread:

    Havent seen a Mono vid with a 1717 yet..........so, here's one.

    39", Castle-Neu 1717, T180 esc, four 5000 3s 40c's for 6s 2p, x445. Temps stupid low at: motor 69*, ESC 73*, Batts 76*..........air temp 40*, water temp 48*.

Im very satisfied with it overall...............probably gonna throw an x447 on it next. Rooster is hugely long possibly indicating a larger prop is needed.

    Build thread: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ad.php?t=20054

    Thanks for lookin'!

Someone had run a single 1717 on a cat running X645 on 6S and hit mid 60's. It can easily handle a X650 and push it to the 70's without breaking a sweat.

I would think increasing pitch and keeping diameter small would be better for the t-180. I would give the 645 a shot.

Not quite a X650, they do have a X670 that can be cut down. Better to get a X450 instead. I should have been clear on that X650. Or try a X550. Little more pitch than the X4.

I would stay away from stainless props. They are heavy.

Detongue an X447/3 and put a little cup in tips. Cupping the tips a bit will lay that roostertail down and give it a little harder push.

You can probably run an X450/3 with some extra cup.

Thanks...............man, i'd sure like a shiny chrome prop, i could go for a little bling in lieu of balls out speed..........are they available in this size range. Found some on ebay, but they're all 70mm dia+

Edit: Thanks Raptor.......we posted at the same time

Ran "Vader" today with the x447 and it was noticably faster. Stuck my garmin in and when it came in it was off....... Dont know what happened so i turned it back on and it had only registered 24mph........, obviously cut off really quick for some reason, maybe low batts. Motor came in at a sizzling 77* after a hard two minute run..............

Gonna run again tomorrow with new batts in the garmin and see what it can do
