I used this camera taped to a home made L bracket: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=10093

It's odd though, haven't figured out how to set the date/time and it automatically creates a new file every 140mb or so. Didn't come with a manual or instructions.

It skips around pretty bad with vibration when I put it on my cars, so was surprised it came out so well on the boat!

T- after seeing that POV vid you posted up, I just had to make one! I don't have an actual video camera to record a shoreline view, but might be able to find someone with one to get some footage. I think it sits in the water nicely and get's up on plane well. Very smooth and level.

If ya notice, there are dolphins coming up for air in the vid. Hopefully I'll not have any issue with Manatees. I'm a little concerned now that you mention it. I'll have to make a habit of taking it slow for a few to look out for them. Would be nice to have a break away rudder system on this. I guess the cheap stamped steel bracket bends easy enough though.

I was actually told one time by a marine patrol that I had to stop running one of my gassers one day because I was in a "no wake, manatee zone". I laughed at him... he didnt find it amusing. And Ive run everytime since at that same location.

LMAO, marine patrol, just like any other patrol, just depends on who you get and what kind of day they are having. So selective...

I am a little concerned with the manatee zone thing though... This could hit them and cause a bit of damage to the rudder/prop and even the T. Hate seeing prop scars on their backs!

Another on board vid, doing some testing with 4s and 32mm props on the 540 motors. Sounds neat at high RPM.
Will get some more data tomorrow. Top speed was 46MPH. Temps were all under 100 at the end of the test runs. Might hook up the amp meter if I can find room for it!

Here we are on twin 4s 30c packs, 2700kv 540 motors with 32/3 plastic props. Didn't get any full runs in, mostly testing temps and messing around. Nothing over 115F, ranging from 1-10 minutes of test time. There is much more cavitation with the smaller props, but once on plane it sounds pretty neat.

I can already tell the stinger bearings aren't happy with the RPM. Planning to run it a couple more times on 4s w/32mm props, then back to 3s w/40mm props when they arrive. Top speed today was 49.7mph. Almost 50... almost!

Those bearings are just almost two small for high rpm like that. Maybe going to ceramic will take care of it. Order them from Boca. Glad to see the new cables and couplers are holding up well.
