Yes. I thought about going with a smaller one but I had a mbp .187 collet on hand and I knew this 36mm was a beast and may snap a small flex. I was right too as I snapped the first one with the prop being a lot deeper. Also didn't help that I've been making my own flexes and cheaped out on solder. Silver bearing solder is the only way to go. That's what I used on this flex.

Well I think that 3/16 is more than adequate for this. It was mainly a failure on my part. Testing my hand at making flexes. I think I've got it down pat now. I'd rather lose the prop on my boat than a customers boat anyway.Last edited by kfxguy; 09-21-2016, 07:56 PM.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

Well I think it's mostly my fault. The solder I used wasn't near as strong as silver solder. I'll see if this flex lasts which I have a feeling it will. But this little motor does have some serious tq. It's equal to a 4050 sized tp. I may be going down on kv soon. This boat is just too fast at this point to enjoy.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

Thanks. That's not even half what I have tho lol. That's just the ones that are built. The fantasm is almost done besides motor mounts and battery trays. I have another Rivercat hull I'm collecting parts for to build a twin. Then I have a voracity, zelos, shockwave 26, mini mono, blackjack 9, carbon 37" Daytona, a Etti demon rigger and a kbb34 and another mini hull on the way. Whew. I need to sell some stuff.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment
