I still have not done anything with Tracy's boat wish he would get it. do not know what happed. Sure put me in a world of hurt for my finances. Well it is still hanging waiting for Tracy. but in the mean time I have three to builds and will be showing the changes in the builds. I want to put a wing on tracys boat and plug the holes some how. A mold is in the future.

Nice! What are the dimensions? What power are you going to run?
This boat can be built in 34 to 39 inches long and be powered from 4S to 8S. 10S is a squeeze. I am not sure on the power it will be something that will go 100MPH
I am working on the strut and rudder bracket this is my start.
I just finished laying up the first Smokin Joes 30 inch Hydro. I hope it fits well but I will not know untill next Sunday. I did lay up one ten years ago. I just thought you would like to know Pete all parts less the cowl I think I have one in styrene for temporary use.

On second thought, just send her in raw form. I haven't decided on paint yet. I might do yellow and make a scale Smokin Joe's. Thanks!
We will have to see if it fits, the bottom mold is a temporary one and might have to do adjustments to the bottom mold and redo the bottom. we will see next sunday.

Subject: Needed to complete
Dear BBY,
If I order the ABS Scat Cat 33, what size prop (1/8" or 3/16" ) would I need and what size flex coupler would I need to connect a 5mm brushless motor shaft to the flex shaft.
Thank You As Always,
Dave XXXXXXXXXX

It depends on the motor, volts and prop that is used. I have set up the boat with Neu motors (8MM motor shaft) and it requires a 3/16 shaft on 4S and greater. I have also used a smaller motor like a 540 XL 5MM motor shaft, 4pole motor and a 150 cable with a 3/16 stub shaft on the flex shaft. The 5mm motor shafts bearings can not control the bigger heaver 5MM to 3/16 coupler. This testing was done with a Octura coupler some times they ore out of balance. I just saw the Aeromarine it might be a little better balanced But I have not tested it. It also depends on the bearing size in the motor and it quality. I would not think the 1/8 to 1/8 flex shaft would work on that big of single setup. But his depends on motor volts and prop.I have3 been suprised before with new products and Ideas. You can designate what shaft size in the special instructions when ordering on line, phone order or email order.

Randy, I use the 5mm to 130 we see everywhere and drill out to accommodate. You will have to drill the opening as well as the sleeve. It is a very tight fit and a little hard to start the threads, but it would take some serious torque, say 5+ HP to have that slip. At that point, I'd imagine it would flatten the threads or tear that size flex to shreds.
I happen to be searching for one that is shorter in length.
