Her is the rear hatch I just built in to the hull, I wish I could have the hatch that big in the front of the boat but I think we can live with it for the scale look.My wife bought me one of those years ago. It was great for HSS bits, but I never was able to get it work well on cobalt bits. Probably user error!
Any updates on the Smokin' Joe hull? We are a couple months from boating season in Michigan, and I'm starting to get the itch again.
Thanks!

Well I worked over the weekend getting the Smokin Joes FE 30 deck and cowl plugs close to the finish point. Just a little more to do then I will be on the flashing and parting lines. at the end of the weekend the shop and myself were needed to be cleaned, time to take the trash out and we got rain storm coming in and got soaked!

Well I got a new motor for my Cat. I have never liked the rails and motor mount tied together in the cat. Just way too hard to switch the ESC at the race. So, I designed a new motor stabilizer for the SC33 and SC27. This is a new motor from Hobby People it is a 2370Kv supposed to push 4S great. I believe it is a 4 pole motor Possibly 6pole. This motor mount and rear motor stabilizer is light, strong and inexpensive.

Getting ready to sand the boat to prep for paint. This is one of the hulls with out the PVA on it , it has a shine of it own.

This shot is of some of the new work we are doing how clean it is coming out.

A great deal of time, effort and refinement has gone into the results you are getting now. Looking great Randy!IMPBA: 7-Time FE World Record Holder "Don't think outside the box. Rather, refuse to admit that the box exists in the first place!"

Well we are building stock as we do orders. We are getting a real standard going on the hulls now. I am very happy with the FG/CF work Cory is doing. Each morning from 11AM to 2PM we work together to continue his training. So I always have hands on each part he is working on and these are the combined results. When we have enough work to keep him busy he will be full time.Comment

I started the day with the Mini Zephyer. this little 2S1p boat he a little ball of fun light nimble but you must watch to make sure it is not blown over. Next I ran the Scat Cat 33 what a brute with the XTM Rail motor it it. Then I ran the Zephyer 27 with the P Speck setup good fun very stable and as fast as you want in a little pond. I finished up the day testing a customers boat the Oval Master 26 on 2S2P and a 1512 1D this motor it strong with a lot of powerswings a 648 to 452 three blade prop. With the self righting chamber it can not be stopped pictures to come.Comment
