    Zephyer 27

Here's a couple pics of my boat with hardware installed. I am just waiting for the cooling jacket for the motor and to install cooling lines and I should have it out this weekend. BTW what are the specs on the prop you supplied in the kit and what is your RTR weight? Thanks again for the beutiful boat you did a great job on everything.

The prop you got was a 42X55 Grim racer. My boat is a little heavy after the wreck at Kaiser Cove it weighs in at 5Lb. 4oz. RTR

Hi Back from The LA SAW's. Thanks Mark Grimm for the nice show and to Tony for putting me up. I had a good time but I drove too much and did not prepair enough so I only got to run two boats I also left early on Sunday the water sucked. Not the pond. I love the set up nice long straights and good turn around area. I did push the Pro Boat 1/8 scale to 79.??? mph. But since the boat is missing the paint (It is in primer) and wings I could not get a record. I went down there knowing that , no surprise. I just do not have a pond like it at home to test. Sorry no video last run of the day all most every one gone.

I got impatient on Sunday (waiting for the wind to die) and threw in the Zephyer 27 in to run. My luck it did not trap the lights. So no news on it.

I have a new hatch for you. Unless you do not want it. It looks like as far foward that you would want to have the pick up opening. looks good thought how about a side view and top with the hatch open?

I will pick-up the hatch and the dummy engine next time I am out your way. I am hoping the weight of the 2 6s packs will help keep water in the intake. A couple more pics, sorry for the picture quality camera phone used.

I have been getting a bit of work done on the deck of the Smokin Joes 30 inch it really starting to look good. Some time next week I will be putting the parting lines on the plug to build the mold. I have been using the long board with 220 grit sand paper and lightly filling the low spots.
It is not pretty to any one but me.

This is a little better shot with a guide coat on the deck, black is under this coat.

I was taught to sharpen drill bits with a grinder. the problem is that after about 20 times the drilling surface gets a little off angles and I have a hard time getting them back. The drill doctor helps me get the angles back.

No I did not hit anything. I spun out the boat trying to miss the bouie. Then it threw a pack in to the front of the sponson and split the seam.

It will not be long your parts are in the mail.

Randy I hear ya, I sharpen drill bit via grinder also, I really can do it faster on the grinder than it takes to set up in the doctor. Some of the younger guys wouldn't know how to figure it out! I'm glad you didn't kill the pro boat. I cant wait to get the box its killing me. I got an invite to go racing in IMPBA this region. All i have is RTR stuff so I need to see which way to go. I'll pick your brain here in the future. I help a friend run his new spartan nice looking boat. I took my box of prop to help him out. Its really move out on a three blades on 6s. How will that compare to the pro boat set up? Luis
