Is the canopy carved from solid wood?
If so, it looks like it may be one of the static display models made in Vietnam, similar to the one that I bought & converted to R/C.
However the one I bought was 38" long.
Could you clarify what size & kv the motor is please? It is not really clear from your description in the first post.

Hello, it is a very beautiful boat. Can it be an Amatti kit ?, or at least the fuselage.
Ferrari Arno XI 1:8 scale, laser-cut wooden hull to be assembled, double planking and additional components included in the kit. Suitable for radio control.

That fuselage is a model that I would like to build. I can't afford to buy that Amati kit. But soon I will try to reproduce it.
I recently finished building one of the same family:

And I'm on my second construction with a different plane:

Hello, no, they are not kits.
In the first photo I used Gary Finlay's plans as a base. Wood cut to saw. The Ferrari fuselage was built under a blueprint supplied to me.
The second photo, I used the plans that accompanied the Ferrari fuselage, that if laser cutting was used.
And I look forward to an Arno XI fuselage, also a visible V12 engine ...
I have the construction and plans published in another forum if you are interested. They are my first constructions, I try to gather information and knowledge about these boats.

If you want more information about the plans, we will contact you.
                    Regards.

                          Beautiful video.
I'm still undecided. I already have an Italian model. I also like the American boats from the '50s.

Waiting for photos of progress, she is a beautiful model.

Hi, .iv replaced some of the bottom of the boat were the old shaft came through the hull then used 17g fibre glass cloth and west system to strengthen and water proof the hull, then sanded back and grey primered...the deck has been sanded and a piece fitted at the bow to replace some damage .....the upper part is plastic had split along the length so have repaired that and made it all one piece. I plan to use a hidden water tight deck to stop ingress of water and sit the top over that.....if ordered a 3660 water cooled motor 2000kv ..4mm flexi shaft and a 38mm two blade prop....how fast should it be with this set up?20200703_045710.jpg20200703_045615.jpg
