ok, the outer surface of the windows are sanded with 1200 paper, then masked off for the black border, once dry the border is scuffed with scotch brite fine pad, then the whole window and border are cleared at once.
You can remove minor flaws in the lexan with this method, and they stay clear and glossy for many years more than untreated lexan. The first photo is the finished result.

the turbine tray completed, an off-black custom color was used to match the heat deflector, this area will be wetsanded dull in the final stage.
