My latest Hydro project 1986 U-100 Boat

Restoring an older Spec hydro based on the old Dave Frank plan. Fixing it up, reinforcing it, sealing it, Putting a new hatch and cowl on it then painting it up as the 1986 U-100 Boat. Real challenging paint job appliance White with black block lettering that says BOAT.

I loved building this little Blaster Jim.
I've run the 1500kv motor in it. Heaps of speed with an M645 prop.
Had mine out last weekend for another play.
I'm sure yours will look spectacular with such a simple paint scheme. Sometimes there is so much more in simplicity.

            Cheers.

Is it for spec hydro or 1/10th scale Jim?

I have built the frame for the hatch. It now goes all the way to the bottom of the boat and is perfectly level to the deck flange. I will glue the top on and then trim the frame back after it is glued on securely to the hatch cover. This is my second try at it first one didn't come out well so try again. This one should be a great fit.

Ok update. The cowl is almost ready to be glued on. I hhave added balsa to give a good glue surface. It is shaped and ready to glue after I seal the balsa. The hatch cover is ready for sealing and the sponsons are again covered.
