well its too hot then on the motor shaft. guess I will have to re think some things. Why would higher amp esc's make it (the motor) run cooler?
I'll just take the advice for now and order the Turnigy 180's

Higher amp esc's wont help with motor cooling. you're just running a hot setup with the 40mm props. Just need to keep your run-times short. One thing that may help a bit is to decrease the motor timing!

My motor timing is set at the lowest setting I think. Because my esc's are different than the venom ones. I'll check them tonight.

I have heard that if the timing is too low then this will increase the heat as well so perhaps you may need to increse the timing a little to decrease your temps.

Yeah. Been busy in life. I have a traxxas spartan on back order. I havent messed with those 2 180 amp esc's yet. They are in the boxes. Prob won't unless I have to lol. Think I'd like to find some different motors to try on the cat project tho. Did you get urs back together?

I got it back together,then wiped it out again.Decided to retire the wore out hull and bought a hull from FighterCat.Its the silver one in my avatar using the hardware from my EKOS.Now it has 2 Arc 36 x55 2800kv motors on 4s.Heres a link to different motors for your twin.

Welcome to the forum. Get a good set of 14.8v lipos, A pair of feigao 380 9xl motors and the aluminum jackets, a pair of Turnigy or seaking 120 amp esc's. and some larger 2 blade props like the CF 40mm ones mentioned in this post and you will hit 60mph. There is some other stuff you will want to do, but what i mentioned will get you 60 mph. read though this whole section about these hulls and what others have done to go faster and make decisions based on what you feel comfortable with.
